Fake A Lip Job With Lip Contouring

Hello Beauties,
I am so extremely obsessed with lip makeup its becoming out of hand LOL! I buy way too much lipliner but when you discover the amazing tricks you can do with lipliner, you too will be addicted!

Lip contouring helps you achieve that "lip job" look that so many go into plastic surgery to do. This technique gives you a more natural "fake lip job" without having a permanent job done to you.
Start by lining your lips all over with a thin line, then fade in the corner of the lip, smudging the colour inwards. Draw contour lines on the bottom and top lip this helps by making the lip look more plump and larger. Then fill in with a lighter shade of liner or lipstick to blend the contour altogether!
I used in this pic NYX Mahogany to line my lips then NYX Soft Brown to blend it all

The Actual Lip Liner Kylie Jenner Uses

Kylie has stolen the beauty craze with all the trends she's setting. From what lip liner she's using to what bronzer she contours in. She is the largest makeup trend setter this year!
I love her style of makeup it's definition on your faces focal points: lips, eyes, and cheekbones. So I've been searching for months for the perfect shade to match her "popular" lip liner look and I believe I have found THE ONE!
I researched more on what it's the exact liner she uses, and Kim Kardashian has spoken out and has said she's seen Kylie go between MAC Soar and MAC Spice. She lines and fills in her lips and leaves it at that.
I didn't think soar was the color because it seemed so pink but then I tried it out and boy! Did it look like her lips were on my face! Lol it's literally the exact shade!!! I'm soooo happy now 😃😃
Here are a few swatches

Soliel Tan De Chanel Bronzer Review

Hey beauties,

This product has become an essential staple in my makeup collection and is worth every dollar spent. I read many reviews, watched many videos and heard many amazing things about this bronzer that it took me over a year to finally purchase it.

I purchased it in December 2014 and now used it for a good couple of months to give an accurate review of this product. At first I thought that it was orange-y for my skin tone but I walked around in natural lighting and  I fell in love.

You only need a small amount to give a nice natural glow to your skin and blends smoothly. I use a stippling brush to apply the bronzer onto my contours.  It isn't a matte bronzer but it isn't heavily sparkly, it has just the right amount to give a soft glow to the skin.

It is pricey because hello its Chanel, but it is worth it and I know it will last for a long time! When it comes to any products you should do a general research and see if it will be worth it for you. Dont just buy it out of impulse! (I'm guilty for such things!)

How To Strengthen Nails

Hello Beauty Lovers,

I have searched high and low for a way to strengthen my nails after having fake nails. Acrylic nails is the worst thing ever but its just so pretty!! And don't be fooled by shellac being a healthier option, as it may not make your nails as weak as applying fake nails, if you have a weak nail bed then the shellac will do more damage to your nail rather than help it.
So after staying away for months from the nail salon I tried many home remedies to strengthen my nails, from eating more vitamin D, not painting my nails, and taking skin hair nail pills. Nothing worked until I began doing research and read about Coconut Oil.
Coconut Oil is such a healthy oil to use on skin, hair and nails because it provides deep moisture. Weak nails result from a weak nail bed so not taking care of your cuticles and keeping that area moisturized will create an unhealthy foundation. Applying Coconut Oil onto your nails every night before going to bed will moisturize and feed into your nail bed helping to strengthen your nails.
Ive noticed the biggest difference once I began using Coconut Oil but it is a process that you need to maintain. Not only do I apply Coconut Oil but I also file my nails every couple days, you're shaping and strengthening your nail by filing it a little. Think of it as a split end hair trim but for your nails, you file down just a layer of the nail to help promote more growth and strength.
This is a routine in which you need to stick to in order to see results and its so easy and affordable that adding this step to your daily routine won't be an issue!

Product Review: Naked Basics Palette

Hey Guys,

Urban Decay has probably one of the best pigmented shadow palettes and they came out with a palette exclusively for matte shadows. This is version 1 I am reviewing and they recently came out with a second one, it has more taupe-y shades versus the first palette.
I went through a phase where I only used shimmery shadows but using this palette redefined my taste in makeup. This palette will help you achieve classy, sophisticated put together looks in just minutes. I love this palette so much, its my go to whenever I want simple fast eye makeup. My favourite shade is Naked 2 I just apply it all over my lid with a winged liner and it makes me look like I've put effort into my makeup when I really didn't :P
Here are the swatches of this palette, they're very creamy and blend beautifully. Definitely worth the buy :)

Most Used Beauty Products of Summer 2014

Summer is nearly over and its so sad because Canadian summers are seriously so short:( My summer this year was spent with friends and family and lots and lots of shisha ;) I'm lebanese I can't help it LOL. As for my makeup this summer, it was kept neutral surprisingly, I'm usually on the bright track when the sun is out. So my most used beauty products this summer were...

MAC Malt
Its a neutral mauve-y eyeshadow and I would just dust it all over my lid using a MAC 217 brush

L'oreal Liquid Liner
Its the original liner, its a brush tip lasts long and doesn't smudge out as much as the newer versions.

Benefit Dallas Blush
Obsessed over this blush, I use it more of a bronzer and lightly contour. But I hit pan on it so quick, literally...i can't even... #whitegirltalk

L'Oreal Butterfly Effect Mascara
This is a new product of L'Oreal and I liked it, it does give the "butterfly" effect but you have to focus on the application of it and apply it properly or else you won't get that well of a butterfly effect. Overall, satisfied with the product.

These were my most used beauty products this summer, what were yours?

Hello Fall

Hello September,
I actually consider this month more of a new year because it is a new school year, its a fresh start to readjust your habits and goals. I have been MIA from blogging because I was not focused on what I want and what I want to accomplish. I had no clear idea of what I want to achieve with this blog. So I spent the summer trying to figure myself out and what I love to do and honestly I miss this, I love writing about beauty topics - its my obsession. So I'm back with a plan and brand new outlook on how I want to carry my blogging experience and without further adieu I think for my first post back I will talk about the famous Kylie Jenner lips.

Kylie has grown so much over the years and if you're not a Kardashian indulger like myself then you probably don't care for this post. But the Kardashians are my guilty pleasure, I love watching their show because of the fashion, makeup and hair. The Jenners and Kardashians are walking trend setters especially miss Kylie Jenner. She is most famous for her transformation from she got no mouth to did she get a lip job? People really don't understand how makeup can change everything if applied properly.

To achieve fuller lips its all about the liner, and Kylie over draws her lips to create the illusion of fuller lips; as if she got a lip injection. Her makeup artist Joyce has spoken out about the products Kylie uses to get the famous mauve/nude lips and they are, MAC Whirl Lipliner and MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick.

You line your whole lip with Whirl if you have thin lips like Kylie just over draw your lips by going slightly on top of your lip. What I like to do for my lip is going a little bit over my cubic bone, just to make them look a little more pouted, and what I like doing is making the corners darker. After you finished lining your lips, apply Velvet Teddy just in the centre of your lips and mix it just in the middle and now you created this ombre/ illusion of fuller lips. This is the famous Kylie lips that she rocks everyday and whats even crazier is that every MAC has been sold out of Whirl for weeks all thanks to miss Kylie LOL :)

Hope you guys enjoyed this post,

Benefits of Green Tea

Happy Friday!

I've been on the craze of drinking lots of green tea for the past weeks and found out how beneficial it really is! Here are the top 5 reasons you should drink GREEN TEA!!!!

1. Helps with weight loss
It is full of many bioactive compounds that help increase metabolization and burn fat; therefore helping you lose weight! Woohoo :)

The caffeine in the tea fires up the neurons in your brain like Dopamine which will help with the brain functions, resulting in a more smarter you :)

3. Lowers risk of cancer
Thats just a given one, helps keep your body healthy, preventing it from cancers!

4. Helps with skin
It clears and radiates skin performance, the antioxidants help rejuvenate your skin making it firmer and glow more!

5. Relieve Stress
It calms you down and frees up any stress or anxiety built up.

Since i began drinking lots of green tea its helped with my skins glow and makes you feel a lot better! Only down side of drinking it so much is that you gotta go to the bathroom a lot and i mean A LOT! LOL

Favourite L'Oreal Mascara

Hello There!!!

Yes i know I've disappeared but you can blame school for that; too many assignments and exams BLAHHHH!!!But I'm back and i have so much to talk about and so much to look forward to this season, i can't evennnnnn (common white girl reference).

So for the past month I've been loving these 2 L'Oreal mascaras together, its like the power couple.
Im using my long time fave, Telescopic for the lengthening effect paired up with the new Voluminous Million Lashes Excess.

ok so Voluminous Million Lashes Excess is amazing on its own, it seriously makes your lashes so big and fluffy, i even compared it to a higher end mascara (Benefit They're Real), and it was soooo much better. In all honesty, the Benefit one did not impress me and it just doesn't work as good as the drugstore kinds.

Apply the Telescopic mascara on top of the Excess and you will gain both volume and length and then you will have OMG lashes!
Yes, OMG lashes because thats what dem people will be saying when they see your lashes, OMG!<3

haha much love,

Yara

Avon Mark Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Happy Monday everyone,
Whenever I look at Avon I see it as older women makeup. Boring and not that high quality. Until I tried out the mark line. My mom gave me the liquid liner because she didn't know how to use it and I do.
It's one of the connector thingy it's like double sided so you can attach it to something else but I have nothing else. The brush is very thin and fine, it glides on the eye very easy. I find it so much easier than any other liquid liners I've tried. The consistency of the product is wet and more liquidy lol idk how to explain it. But it's more wet than other liners. It has more of a sheen dry effect and it doesn't smudge at all. It wears all day without it moving even if I itch my eye or something it will not smudge. It comes off nicely from makeup removers. Doesn't make it such a challenge and giving me raccoon eyes.
I love this liner so much and I definitely will be trying out more of the Mark line!

Why Sleeping in Your Makeup is Bad

We all have done it at some point in time but for some of us it's become a bad habit to break.
We get home from work or school and too tired to do what seems a pesky task but in all fairness it's really not that bad of a job.
Removing makeup is an annoying step because it takes a bit of time especially to remove mascara. But it is worth it in the long run because keeping makeup on from a full day of activities is unhealthy for you.
Our bodies are constantly exposed to the environment and pollution therefore our skin will attach to the bacteria and dirt flying everywhere. Makeup catches it pretty well and holds onto it. So basically you're going to sleep with a billion germs and curessivly smother you face on your pillow. Rubbing the germs all over the clean sheets. You're sleeping in your own bacteria and that's just disgusting.
Sleeping with your makeup on not only will cause acne from clogged up pores but will speed up your skins maturity. You will age faster and fine lines and wrinkles will appear earlier than planned. Keeping mascara and eyeliner on is also harmful because it can produce small bumps cause by clogged up hair follicles.
Keeping makeup wipes on your night stand will be a good thing whenever you're too tired to do a full wash. At least removing the dirt gathered up all day will be cleaned up better with some makeup wipes.
Keep your pillow clean and that means keeping your face clean because you want to rest your head onto something that will not give you pimples.
Yes washing makeup off can be tedious but it's better safe than sorry!

Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Eye Concealer

Hey Guys,

So I've been meaning to purchase this product forever!!!! I don't know why i always pass this product even though I've heard so many good things about it. So i finally bought it and I've been testing it out.

What I've noticed is that it doesn't treat dark circles although it says it does. But it does cover up dark circles really well. Its light and creamy formula and easily blend able, doesn't crease nor leave streaks. I love the way it applies, the soft circle dome applicator easily slides on top of the eye area and doesn't overly put the product on. Its light coverage concealer so if you're looking for heavier you will have to pair it with another concealer. Sometimes ill apply this concealer first and then apply Tarte Marajuca Concealer on top for a more brighter and fully covered look.

Here I have a picture of a with the product on and without it. The Left side has the product on, as you can see how much its covered up my dark circle and it matches my skin tone very well. It quickly gives an awakened look in seconds. Super easy to apply and it will drastically change the focus of your eyes!

Overall i give this product a 7.5/10 :)

Tarte Maracuja Creasless Concealer

Hey guys,
Ok yes I've been gone for way too long and it's because of finals and so much going on.
December is always a overwhelming month mostly because it's finals and cramming in all the assignments due and studying nonstop.
But during the month of November I purchased a new concealer from tarte. And I have been testing it out for the past weeks. So far I love it, it covers my under eye fully and wears all day. Like I was surprised it stayed on throughout the entire day so I was happy with that. It says it's cress less but it's not, it creases so you have to set it with a translucent powder.
I don't like the under eye to be dewy or shiny so I set it with a translucent powder to give it the matte effect. I apply this with a concealer brush from Sephora, it's from their professional line, it's the airbrush concealer.
I love the brush it's worth the money and apples the concealer smoothly and flawlessly. When the sephora lady tried the product on me I had to buy the brush as we'll. Applying concealer it's best with a brush because the eye is so sensitive you don't want to pull and drag the product in that area. Best to buy a fluffy concealer brush to buff it in flawlessly.

I give this product a 7.5/10 :)

More reviews on the way!
