Soliel Tan De Chanel Bronzer Review

Hey beauties,

This product has become an essential staple in my makeup collection and is worth every dollar spent. I read many reviews, watched many videos and heard many amazing things about this bronzer that it took me over a year to finally purchase it.

I purchased it in December 2014 and now used it for a good couple of months to give an accurate review of this product. At first I thought that it was orange-y for my skin tone but I walked around in natural lighting and  I fell in love.

You only need a small amount to give a nice natural glow to your skin and blends smoothly. I use a stippling brush to apply the bronzer onto my contours.  It isn't a matte bronzer but it isn't heavily sparkly, it has just the right amount to give a soft glow to the skin.

It is pricey because hello its Chanel, but it is worth it and I know it will last for a long time! When it comes to any products you should do a general research and see if it will be worth it for you. Dont just buy it out of impulse! (I'm guilty for such things!)

Everyday Loose Curls

Hello Girlies,
Loose curls are the most effortless yet put together hair looks ever. You can look like a bohemian beach babe and with that same hairstyle class it up to a CEO gal.
I love love love loveeeee my Nume Curling Wand, I got it at Winners it came in a 3 pack, 1/4 in, 1/2in and 1.5in wands. And they're interchangeable so it just comes with one base and then the 3 different wands. I got it for 70$ I believe which is an amazzzzzing deal for 3 different sized wands!! Especially by Nume:)
How I achieve everyday curls is by having semi straightened hair, I naturally have curly/wavey hair so I just try to tame it down with my straightener and make it more easier to work with to curl.
Now if I want to achieve the very loose waves then I use the 1.5 in wand but I usually like a little more bounce so I will take thicker sections in the bottom of my hair and curl with the 1in wand.
Towards the middle and top of my hair I take smaller pieces. I alternate in the direction I curl, so I'll curl toward my face and outwards.
When I'm done which is like 25 min with this curler ( it's awesome because my hair is thick) I will flip it down and just shake my hair, it adds volume and I run my fingers through to loosen it up voilá my everyday curls :)

Hello Fall

Hello September,
I actually consider this month more of a new year because it is a new school year, its a fresh start to readjust your habits and goals. I have been MIA from blogging because I was not focused on what I want and what I want to accomplish. I had no clear idea of what I want to achieve with this blog. So I spent the summer trying to figure myself out and what I love to do and honestly I miss this, I love writing about beauty topics - its my obsession. So I'm back with a plan and brand new outlook on how I want to carry my blogging experience and without further adieu I think for my first post back I will talk about the famous Kylie Jenner lips.

Kylie has grown so much over the years and if you're not a Kardashian indulger like myself then you probably don't care for this post. But the Kardashians are my guilty pleasure, I love watching their show because of the fashion, makeup and hair. The Jenners and Kardashians are walking trend setters especially miss Kylie Jenner. She is most famous for her transformation from she got no mouth to did she get a lip job? People really don't understand how makeup can change everything if applied properly.

To achieve fuller lips its all about the liner, and Kylie over draws her lips to create the illusion of fuller lips; as if she got a lip injection. Her makeup artist Joyce has spoken out about the products Kylie uses to get the famous mauve/nude lips and they are, MAC Whirl Lipliner and MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick.

You line your whole lip with Whirl if you have thin lips like Kylie just over draw your lips by going slightly on top of your lip. What I like to do for my lip is going a little bit over my cubic bone, just to make them look a little more pouted, and what I like doing is making the corners darker. After you finished lining your lips, apply Velvet Teddy just in the centre of your lips and mix it just in the middle and now you created this ombre/ illusion of fuller lips. This is the famous Kylie lips that she rocks everyday and whats even crazier is that every MAC has been sold out of Whirl for weeks all thanks to miss Kylie LOL :)

Hope you guys enjoyed this post,

Easy Subtle Smokey Eye

Hey Guys,

Today's look i tried out a very subtle smokey eye look thats super easy and wearable during the day and can be transformable to a night time look! I'm going to be focusing on the day time look for this post"

1. Apply an all over wash of the desired colour you want, i did a simple light shimmery colour from MAC called Naked Lunch

2. Defined my crease lightly with a soft brown colour any brown will due

3. Line your upper lash line with a black eyeliner i used Milani Liquid Eye Pencil, its creamy and blend able. Look for a liner like this for this look, something like Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner.

4. Using a smudging brush start smudging the liner up, concentrate on the outer corner of the eye. Bring the smudging up and start creating a V shape in the corner of the eye.

Its a very subtle light smokey eye but makes it look like you worked hard on it, when actually its super easy and fast!

5. Finish it off with mascara and i also connected it with a light liner on the bottom lashes but only in the outer corner.

And done! its super easy and subtle and super wearable during the day time!

Hope you enjoyed it :)

How To Do The Perfect Cat Eyeliner

Hey!!

Cat eyes have been the "it" look for so many years and sometimes it can be difficult to perfect it, but i have a mini tutorial on how to do it :)

1. Using a liquid liner create a line following the lower lash line. From your bottom lashes make a line continuing up to however length you want.

2. Simply connect the line to half your eyelid, and fill in the tint triangle.

3. Connect the inner corner of the eye with a thinner line

Done :)

It takes practice to have a perfect cat eye but this is the easiest way for me to get a good look :)

Hope it helped!

Tips and Tricks to Contouring and Highlighting

Image from Pinterest
Hey Lovelies,

This topic has been long and overdue but hooray now it is here :)
Contouring and highlighting are crucial steps in your makeup routine if you want to achieve the flawless face look. Contouring is basically a way to shape your face, it is creating a shadow in certain areas to give more definition to. You contour every time you add eyeshadow to the crease, this illusion creates a more in depth eye.

To contour you need to have a matte bronzer, i find matte works the best and gives the most wrapped up look. To apply, use an angled brush to achieve a more sculpted look or a big powder brush to achieve a more natural subtle look. Apply starting from the temples down to the hallows of your cheeks, meaning underneath your cheek bones. Make a duck face pose and apply to the sucked in parts. And then apply to the jawline, carry it down to your neck with whatever product left. I like to use Benefit Hoola, its so perfect and gives a natural finish. Contouring your nose is the best trick of all, just add a little bronzer to an eyeshadow brush and apply it to both sides of the bridge of your nose, this gives the illusion of a smaller nose, ummmm who wouldnt want that!!!!

Highlighting gives the skin the glowing look we all want all the time, but not the ugly kind, the Jennifer Lopez glow! Highlighting is very simple, just dust some off on top of your cheekbones and under the contour, up your nose and the area between your brows and forehead, and a little on the chin. Also highlighting is used under the eye up to the end of the nose, creating a triangle, using a highlighting concealer to do the trick.  I like to use MAC Soft and Gentle, its light and natural, sometimes if i want a dewy look ill use Benefit High Beam on its own or ill put that as the base and then dust on soft and gentle.

Hope you liked this post if you have any questions or suggestions please let me know anytime :)

Fall makeup tutorial

Heyyyyy
Who's happy for the cooler weather??? I am! It's sweater season yayyy!
The temperature is decreasing and the color intensity is increasing! And with this look I'm creating a sexy sultry smokey eye with two great colors; grey and purple.
If you have brown eyes then this tutorial will look so amazing because purple compliments the brown eyes;)
So lets begin...
I'm using this palette from topshop has two champagne-y colors and an eggplant purple and grey. Super fall!
The makeup i used

Of course before all the eye makeup you prep your face up with your normal foundation routine. I just applied concealer and used a purple-y cream shadow base.
I began with concentrating on the crease and started applying the purple shade. Starting from the outer corner of the eye and making a v-shape extending it from the corner of the eye into the crease. Keep blending it out creating a soft smokey effect.
Next I took the grey shade and applied a little onto the purple darkening it up. Keep applying both shades to reach your desired shade.
Next I applied the champagne color onto my lid and the lightest color onto my eyebrow bone to highlight.
Finish off with a light liner on the upper lash line and bottom. And apply mascara

For the face I kept it simple, chose my favourite dark-ish shade of blush by MAC
And I also softly contoured my face with benefit hoola bronzer

For lips I kept it simple as well, lined my lips with a natural lip color and used a neutral lipstick color.

That's pretty much the makeup look something super pretty to wear at night or even during the day! You have the control on how far you want to take your makeup!

Nume Straightener Review

Hey Guys,

Ive been meaning to write this post for a long time but it always slipped my mind but here it is!
This straightener is amazing, like so amazing guys you don't understand! And the story behind it is crazy coincidence, i was at Winners and i found this straighter and it was for $40 which was great and i go to check it out and it was $20!!!! Compared to its original price of like $200!!! Crazy catch and i go home to test it out and it worked so perfectly, i was overjoyed!

Nume is a great line for curlers and straighteners, and the one i have is pink silhouette one, its 100% ceramic plates its 1 1/4 sized plates, goes up to 410 degrees.
It heats up super fast and contains that heat thorugh-out the whole hair styling time. it glides on smoothly and with just one stroke its already pretty straightened.

I have curly hair and it takes me awhile to straighten my whole head but with this straightener it takes me 25min and thats amazing compared to normally taking me 45 mim or more!
Its a great product for curly haired girls because it'll cut the styling time in half! And we all need that extra time somewhere... perhaps makeup?

Here's how it makes my hair look...

I strongly recommend this product to everyone and it is curly and thick hair certified! Im planning to check out their curlers because i heard great reviews on them as well!

Back To School Makeup

Hey Hey Hey,
So its that time of the year again... SCHOOL!!! Yayyyyy.......not...
Well sorta yay im actually excited for it, this happens to me every single summer. Where i get super excited for the new school year and then when it hits you're just like "Ok screw you!"
But im excited for the fresh new clothing to wear and the nice cool air of fall, super excited for the fall fashion...i think ive mentioned that before in other posts but i cant help it im excited for the colour mahogany and navy!
Moving foreword, Ive created an easy back to school makeup tutorial its neutral colors but very flattering. if you havent noticed by now i pretty much only wear neutral makeup i find it flatterign adn easy to wear at anytime of the day. Its a look you can trun up and down.
So i used the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette the "Day" row on it, so lets get into it.

For the Eyes:

1) Take the light color and apply all over the lid up to the brow bone with a flat shader brush

2) Take the next shade to the right with a blending brush (i used MAC 217) and apply it to the crease in wind-wipers motion

3) Lastly take the darkest shade and apply a dot as so, to the most outer corner of the crease and blend through with the same blending brush.

4) Line your upper lash line with black liner. And lower lash line with the same dark shade on the lower lass line.

Face:

1) I mixed up my moisturizer with my foundation to create a tinted moisturizer. Im one that doesnt wear foundation regualrly but this way itll be moisturizing and at the same time give you some even skin tone  to work with.

2) I applied my concealer (mac studio fix) and then used a highlighting concealer and applied it like so,

3) Next i used my mac powder (studio fx in n25) and applied all over my face to conceal the coverage.

4) I took a bronzer (Benefit Hoola) and lightly contoured my face, applying it under my cheekbones, temples and jawline with a sigma angled blush brush

5) Lastly, i took Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush with a blush brush and applied on the apples of my cheeks. And finished it off with a dust of MAC soft and gentle mineralize skin finish as my highlighter on top of my cheeks.

Lips:

1) i lined my lips with top shop liner and applied revlon pink in the afternoon lipstick for a simple pinkish nude lip.

I hope you liked this look,
Yara

TopShop Makeup

Hello beauty lovers,
I am so sorry i havent been blogging like at allll!! its summer time and i went on vacation and was really busy, but I'm back with some great new posts planned!!
Today i will be talking about TopShop makeup, TopShop is an awesome store and they have a great line of makeup and nail polish.
I recently purchased some new products from them because they had an amazing sale! I got some nail polish for only 3$! and normally theyre like 11$ so obviously awesome buy!
i also bought an eyeshadow quad, that was only 8$ and i wanted to test it out they are perfect colors for fall! BTW are any of you excited for fall as much as i am??
The eyeshadow quality is pretty decent gives off great colour quality, pretty pigmented and for the amount i got it for you cant go wrong. A while back i purchased a blush from TopShop and its amazing, like it super pigmented all you need is a dab into it and you get alot of color!
My next post will be a tutorial with the use of the quad!

Have a great day!

Benefit Erase Paste Review

heyyyyy,
I finished my Bobbi Brown concealer :( so sad, i loved it so super duper much! but oh well time to try out another product ive been eyeing for quite some time!
I went to Sephora last week in search for the best concealer for my under-eye area, because that is where i need the greatest coverage. I knew Erase Paste was the ultimate product i wanted to try but i also heard about Nars concealer to be really good. But the sales associate led me to Benefit because they have the perfect product for the under-eye. - just so you know, i was wearing like no makeup just so i can find the best suit for me. -
The Erase Paste have a salmon shade to them, because this product is a color corrector as well, so not just a concealer. its made to brighten and color correct at the same time concealing dark circles.
it really does the job, its creamy and glides on smoothly, the only down turn on it is that it will crease on your lids so you have to set it with a powder. but other than that it lifts my eyes up, making them look so alive and radiant, and conceals the redness.
I really like it so far and here is an image of me having the Erase Paste on one eye and nothing on the other, please dont run away when you look at me :P LOL
left side:nothing
right side: erase paste
