Soliel Tan De Chanel Bronzer Review

Hey beauties,

This product has become an essential staple in my makeup collection and is worth every dollar spent. I read many reviews, watched many videos and heard many amazing things about this bronzer that it took me over a year to finally purchase it.

I purchased it in December 2014 and now used it for a good couple of months to give an accurate review of this product. At first I thought that it was orange-y for my skin tone but I walked around in natural lighting and  I fell in love.

You only need a small amount to give a nice natural glow to your skin and blends smoothly. I use a stippling brush to apply the bronzer onto my contours.  It isn't a matte bronzer but it isn't heavily sparkly, it has just the right amount to give a soft glow to the skin.

It is pricey because hello its Chanel, but it is worth it and I know it will last for a long time! When it comes to any products you should do a general research and see if it will be worth it for you. Dont just buy it out of impulse! (I'm guilty for such things!)

Easy Subtle Smokey Eye

Hey Guys,

Today's look i tried out a very subtle smokey eye look thats super easy and wearable during the day and can be transformable to a night time look! I'm going to be focusing on the day time look for this post"

1. Apply an all over wash of the desired colour you want, i did a simple light shimmery colour from MAC called Naked Lunch

2. Defined my crease lightly with a soft brown colour any brown will due

3. Line your upper lash line with a black eyeliner i used Milani Liquid Eye Pencil, its creamy and blend able. Look for a liner like this for this look, something like Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner.

4. Using a smudging brush start smudging the liner up, concentrate on the outer corner of the eye. Bring the smudging up and start creating a V shape in the corner of the eye.

Its a very subtle light smokey eye but makes it look like you worked hard on it, when actually its super easy and fast!

5. Finish it off with mascara and i also connected it with a light liner on the bottom lashes but only in the outer corner.

And done! its super easy and subtle and super wearable during the day time!

Hope you enjoyed it :)

Tips and Tricks to Contouring and Highlighting

Image from Pinterest
Hey Lovelies,

This topic has been long and overdue but hooray now it is here :)
Contouring and highlighting are crucial steps in your makeup routine if you want to achieve the flawless face look. Contouring is basically a way to shape your face, it is creating a shadow in certain areas to give more definition to. You contour every time you add eyeshadow to the crease, this illusion creates a more in depth eye.

To contour you need to have a matte bronzer, i find matte works the best and gives the most wrapped up look. To apply, use an angled brush to achieve a more sculpted look or a big powder brush to achieve a more natural subtle look. Apply starting from the temples down to the hallows of your cheeks, meaning underneath your cheek bones. Make a duck face pose and apply to the sucked in parts. And then apply to the jawline, carry it down to your neck with whatever product left. I like to use Benefit Hoola, its so perfect and gives a natural finish. Contouring your nose is the best trick of all, just add a little bronzer to an eyeshadow brush and apply it to both sides of the bridge of your nose, this gives the illusion of a smaller nose, ummmm who wouldnt want that!!!!

Highlighting gives the skin the glowing look we all want all the time, but not the ugly kind, the Jennifer Lopez glow! Highlighting is very simple, just dust some off on top of your cheekbones and under the contour, up your nose and the area between your brows and forehead, and a little on the chin. Also highlighting is used under the eye up to the end of the nose, creating a triangle, using a highlighting concealer to do the trick.  I like to use MAC Soft and Gentle, its light and natural, sometimes if i want a dewy look ill use Benefit High Beam on its own or ill put that as the base and then dust on soft and gentle.

Hope you liked this post if you have any questions or suggestions please let me know anytime :)

Purederm Q-10 Makeup Remover Wipes

Hello guys,
I hope everyone is enjoying the official first week of fall:) The weather is decreasing slowly and sadly!
But today I wanted to share with you a new product I found. It's from winners, okay yes I but a lot from winners -I work there- but there are really good products and they're all brand names.
It's very affordable, $3.99 for 30 wipes and they're very large wipes. I'm super picky with makeup wipes because I do have sensitive skin and my eyes will sting and ache from makeup wipes. So whenever I find a makeup remover that doesn't hurt my eyes then I rave about it.
This product is very gentle on the skin and doesn't sting your eyes. It removes everything! Obviously you'd want a makeup remover to do that lol. It has enzymes infused in the formula to revitalize skin so these wipes not only remove makeup but feed it as well. Double bonus!
So I reccommend this product to all you ladies :)

Cheers,

School handbag tips

Hey guys,

So it's back to school clearly and if you guys don't know I go to York university. And some of the things I find hard to find is a good bag to take to school.
Of course the iconic back bag is useful but it becomes a problem for me. I always need to take out my wallet to buy lunch or for the bus and having a back bag made the process so much harder. So I reverted back to just a handbag because it was the easiest. It's hard to find a good handbag to take to school because you want it to be able to hold alot of things but at the same time be comfortable. Here are my tips on finding an ideal bag for you.
Find a long bag, there will be much more storage space verses a horizontal sized bag because you're textbook and notebooks are vertically longer than the width so it makes sense to find a purse that compliments that.
Make sure the straps are decent thickness so that the weight won't be too straining on your shoulders
Overall invest in a high quality bag. Trust me I've had my fair share in bags and buying cheap bags are not worth it. Don't waste your money on bags that have no quality. There's a reason higher brand names are more expensive it's not just for the name, but it's because of the quality in designing it is much more higher.
I always get OMG Yara you spent that much on a bag? And for school? Ummm yeah I'm gonna spend that lump sum of money on one bag because its gonna save me money in the long run. Buying an expensive bag will be worth it because its going to stop you from buying the cheap bag that will break and rip in a month or so.
Invest in a bag that you know the quality is great and durable. Don't get just because of name but base it on durability.
I've been eyeing Michael Kors tote bag forever and never bought it until this year. People are like you crazy spending that money on a bag for school? It's not only for school I can use it to go out as well.
Find a bag that will have multiple uses, the more uses you can come up with the more reason to buy it. If you can think of many reasons why the bag is good to invest in that the price of it will look much more cheaper because you will be gaining a lot from it.
This Michael Kors bag I know is great for school because its big and strong and made with high quality products.
I know that LongChamp bags are very durable too and worth the money to use for school or travel and even general fashion!
I hope this post was useful in any way!
