My Top 5 Makeup Brushes

Hello Beauties,
If you're like me I loveeeee makeup brushes, if I had all the money in the world boy would I splurge on some nice brushes. But I'm a student on a budget so I get what I can. For makeup brushes you need to have the mindset that they are an investment into your beauty regime. You want quality, results and ease therefore, it means taking some time to properly research and save up for the right tool. My motto for any purchase is Quality over Quantity and that goes for many things, but when it comes to beauty tools it should be well thought out.
In the beginning of getting into makeup in my mind I was like, " Why the hell would I spend 40-50$ on a single brush when I can buy a purse with that". But you got to think of it as an investment into your look, you want flawless results you need to invest in quality tools; plus they last forever with the proper care.

So here are my top 5 brushes:

1. Sephora Pro Flawless Airbrush 56- 40$

Buffs your foundation beautifully and doesn't leave any lines- I love this brush

2. Sephora Pro Flawless Concealer 57-30$

Amazing at blending in concealer under the eye- can't live without this brush

3.Sigma Large Angles Contour F40- 22$

I think this is my favourite brush of them all, its the best at applying blush/bronzer so effortlessly

4.MAC Flat Shader 239- 25$

Great to apply an even amount of colour all over the lid

5. MAC Blending Brush 217- 24$

Best blending brush I have ever tried, so easy and perfect size for any eye.

Night Time SkinCare Routine

Hello :)

Today I will be sharing what I do to my skin every night, personal much? LOL
I am not one who has a very disciplined routine to come with my skincare because I'm so lazy when it comes to that step. But I have developed a routine which is easy for me to stick by and actually do nightly. What I only do at night to my skin is moisturize because when I come out of the shower my skin feels so dry and stiff I need to deeply moisturize it. So I use 2 products every night, the first is 100% Pure Argan Oil Light by Josie Maran and I apply 2 drops of the oil and pat it down on my skin. Next I use Sephora Intensive Instant Moisturizer and apply it over my face and have that soak in. It gives me a soft canvas to sleep on and wake up with moisturized skin.  I will apply vaseline onto my lips as well because I always have chapped lips. And that's basically it for my skincare routine if I have any breakouts I will apply Clearisil Vanishing Cream onto the spots and sleep overnight. Other than that my skincare routine is very simple and for me I need it to be as little steps as possible or else I will have no motivation to do it.

Product Review: Naked Basics Palette

Hey Guys,

Urban Decay has probably one of the best pigmented shadow palettes and they came out with a palette exclusively for matte shadows. This is version 1 I am reviewing and they recently came out with a second one, it has more taupe-y shades versus the first palette.
I went through a phase where I only used shimmery shadows but using this palette redefined my taste in makeup. This palette will help you achieve classy, sophisticated put together looks in just minutes. I love this palette so much, its my go to whenever I want simple fast eye makeup. My favourite shade is Naked 2 I just apply it all over my lid with a winged liner and it makes me look like I've put effort into my makeup when I really didn't :P
Here are the swatches of this palette, they're very creamy and blend beautifully. Definitely worth the buy :)

Most Used Beauty Products of Summer 2014

Summer is nearly over and its so sad because Canadian summers are seriously so short:( My summer this year was spent with friends and family and lots and lots of shisha ;) I'm lebanese I can't help it LOL. As for my makeup this summer, it was kept neutral surprisingly, I'm usually on the bright track when the sun is out. So my most used beauty products this summer were...

MAC Malt
Its a neutral mauve-y eyeshadow and I would just dust it all over my lid using a MAC 217 brush

L'oreal Liquid Liner
Its the original liner, its a brush tip lasts long and doesn't smudge out as much as the newer versions.

Benefit Dallas Blush
Obsessed over this blush, I use it more of a bronzer and lightly contour. But I hit pan on it so quick, literally...i can't even... #whitegirltalk

L'Oreal Butterfly Effect Mascara
This is a new product of L'Oreal and I liked it, it does give the "butterfly" effect but you have to focus on the application of it and apply it properly or else you won't get that well of a butterfly effect. Overall, satisfied with the product.

These were my most used beauty products this summer, what were yours?

Tarte Maracuja Creasless Concealer

Hey guys,
Ok yes I've been gone for way too long and it's because of finals and so much going on.
December is always a overwhelming month mostly because it's finals and cramming in all the assignments due and studying nonstop.
But during the month of November I purchased a new concealer from tarte. And I have been testing it out for the past weeks. So far I love it, it covers my under eye fully and wears all day. Like I was surprised it stayed on throughout the entire day so I was happy with that. It says it's cress less but it's not, it creases so you have to set it with a translucent powder.
I don't like the under eye to be dewy or shiny so I set it with a translucent powder to give it the matte effect. I apply this with a concealer brush from Sephora, it's from their professional line, it's the airbrush concealer.
I love the brush it's worth the money and apples the concealer smoothly and flawlessly. When the sephora lady tried the product on me I had to buy the brush as we'll. Applying concealer it's best with a brush because the eye is so sensitive you don't want to pull and drag the product in that area. Best to buy a fluffy concealer brush to buff it in flawlessly.

I give this product a 7.5/10 :)

More reviews on the way!

Easy Subtle Smokey Eye

Hey Guys,

Today's look i tried out a very subtle smokey eye look thats super easy and wearable during the day and can be transformable to a night time look! I'm going to be focusing on the day time look for this post"

1. Apply an all over wash of the desired colour you want, i did a simple light shimmery colour from MAC called Naked Lunch

2. Defined my crease lightly with a soft brown colour any brown will due

3. Line your upper lash line with a black eyeliner i used Milani Liquid Eye Pencil, its creamy and blend able. Look for a liner like this for this look, something like Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner.

4. Using a smudging brush start smudging the liner up, concentrate on the outer corner of the eye. Bring the smudging up and start creating a V shape in the corner of the eye.

Its a very subtle light smokey eye but makes it look like you worked hard on it, when actually its super easy and fast!

5. Finish it off with mascara and i also connected it with a light liner on the bottom lashes but only in the outer corner.

And done! its super easy and subtle and super wearable during the day time!

Hope you enjoyed it :)

Tips and Tricks to Contouring and Highlighting

Image from Pinterest
Hey Lovelies,

This topic has been long and overdue but hooray now it is here :)
Contouring and highlighting are crucial steps in your makeup routine if you want to achieve the flawless face look. Contouring is basically a way to shape your face, it is creating a shadow in certain areas to give more definition to. You contour every time you add eyeshadow to the crease, this illusion creates a more in depth eye.

To contour you need to have a matte bronzer, i find matte works the best and gives the most wrapped up look. To apply, use an angled brush to achieve a more sculpted look or a big powder brush to achieve a more natural subtle look. Apply starting from the temples down to the hallows of your cheeks, meaning underneath your cheek bones. Make a duck face pose and apply to the sucked in parts. And then apply to the jawline, carry it down to your neck with whatever product left. I like to use Benefit Hoola, its so perfect and gives a natural finish. Contouring your nose is the best trick of all, just add a little bronzer to an eyeshadow brush and apply it to both sides of the bridge of your nose, this gives the illusion of a smaller nose, ummmm who wouldnt want that!!!!

Highlighting gives the skin the glowing look we all want all the time, but not the ugly kind, the Jennifer Lopez glow! Highlighting is very simple, just dust some off on top of your cheekbones and under the contour, up your nose and the area between your brows and forehead, and a little on the chin. Also highlighting is used under the eye up to the end of the nose, creating a triangle, using a highlighting concealer to do the trick.  I like to use MAC Soft and Gentle, its light and natural, sometimes if i want a dewy look ill use Benefit High Beam on its own or ill put that as the base and then dust on soft and gentle.

Hope you liked this post if you have any questions or suggestions please let me know anytime :)

Fall makeup tutorial

Heyyyyy
Who's happy for the cooler weather??? I am! It's sweater season yayyy!
The temperature is decreasing and the color intensity is increasing! And with this look I'm creating a sexy sultry smokey eye with two great colors; grey and purple.
If you have brown eyes then this tutorial will look so amazing because purple compliments the brown eyes;)
So lets begin...
I'm using this palette from topshop has two champagne-y colors and an eggplant purple and grey. Super fall!
The makeup i used

Of course before all the eye makeup you prep your face up with your normal foundation routine. I just applied concealer and used a purple-y cream shadow base.
I began with concentrating on the crease and started applying the purple shade. Starting from the outer corner of the eye and making a v-shape extending it from the corner of the eye into the crease. Keep blending it out creating a soft smokey effect.
Next I took the grey shade and applied a little onto the purple darkening it up. Keep applying both shades to reach your desired shade.
Next I applied the champagne color onto my lid and the lightest color onto my eyebrow bone to highlight.
Finish off with a light liner on the upper lash line and bottom. And apply mascara

For the face I kept it simple, chose my favourite dark-ish shade of blush by MAC
And I also softly contoured my face with benefit hoola bronzer

For lips I kept it simple as well, lined my lips with a natural lip color and used a neutral lipstick color.

That's pretty much the makeup look something super pretty to wear at night or even during the day! You have the control on how far you want to take your makeup!

Benefit Erase Paste Review

heyyyyy,
I finished my Bobbi Brown concealer :( so sad, i loved it so super duper much! but oh well time to try out another product ive been eyeing for quite some time!
I went to Sephora last week in search for the best concealer for my under-eye area, because that is where i need the greatest coverage. I knew Erase Paste was the ultimate product i wanted to try but i also heard about Nars concealer to be really good. But the sales associate led me to Benefit because they have the perfect product for the under-eye. - just so you know, i was wearing like no makeup just so i can find the best suit for me. -
The Erase Paste have a salmon shade to them, because this product is a color corrector as well, so not just a concealer. its made to brighten and color correct at the same time concealing dark circles.
it really does the job, its creamy and glides on smoothly, the only down turn on it is that it will crease on your lids so you have to set it with a powder. but other than that it lifts my eyes up, making them look so alive and radiant, and conceals the redness.
I really like it so far and here is an image of me having the Erase Paste on one eye and nothing on the other, please dont run away when you look at me :P LOL
left side:nothing
right side: erase paste
