Hey Girls,
Its the step we all hate to do with our makeup utensils, and thats washing them! Especially for makeup brushes because they take so long. But its a necessary chore, it keeps it hygienic and much healthier for your skin.
If you keep using unwashed brushes, all the bacteria you keep picking up from your skin then brushing it back on multiple times will add up and cause breakouts. Minimize breakouts by keeping your brushes clean.
I clean my brushes with baby shampoo, before i used to make my own solution but baby shampoo is perfect and easy. The way i clean my brushes is by mixing the shampoo and warm water in a bowl. Soak the bristles in the solution for 30 seconds and with a dry towel ( use a small towel, dedicate this towel to just makeup brushes, so find an old towel) start making circular rotations on the towel and moving it back and forth gently. Repeat this process until you see no more dirt coming out, air dry the brushes. It takes a day for me so i normally do my brush cleaning on a day i know im not going out and wont need them.
This is a deep cleaning method there are spot on cleaning methods, i sometimes just dampen up paper towel and quickly clean my brush on it. But i find this way efficient and healthy for my skin and it leaves the bristles very soft!
Hearts,
Yara
